How much does the ReciMe app cost? Free limits, ReciMe Plus and whether it's worth it (2026)
By the Cado team · Updated
Short answer: ReciMe is free to download, and the free version lets you import up to 5 recipes a week. ReciMe Plus costs $39.99 a year in the US, about $3.33 a month, and starts with a 7-day free trial. Plus removes the import limit and adds the nutrition calculator, Cooking Mode, the Ask ReciMe AI assistant and PDF export. Grocery lists, meal plans and cookbooks stay free. If you mainly want to collect recipes from social media, ReciMe is a fair deal and costs less than Cado. If you want those recipes scored for health and rewritten to fit a goal, here's how Cado compares.
Disclosure: Cado makes Cado, the app compared here. ReciMe's prices and plan details come from its help center and US App Store page, and Cado's from its US App Store page, all checked November 4, 2026. Prices can change and vary by country, so confirm on the app's Subscribe screen before you pay.

Pick Cado if…
- You want every recipe scored for health, with calories and macros per serving
- You'd rather have a recipe rewritten for you (more protein, dairy-free, lighter on the oil) than work through suggestions yourself
- You want recipe suggestions for the week, not just a planner to fill
- You want to cook hands-free and ask questions out loud while you cook
- You're eating for a goal and a recipe collection alone isn't getting you there

- You import 5 recipes a week or fewer. ReciMe's free version may be all you need, with grocery lists, meal plans and cookbooks included
- You want the lower yearly price: $39.99 for ReciMe Plus against $59.99 for Cado Pro
- You want to scan cookbook pages or handwritten family recipes, or you import from Facebook
- You plan on a computer. ReciMe has a web app and a Chrome extension, and Cado doesn't

How to switch to Cado
- You don't have to give up ReciMe to try Cado. Keep it as your archive and start with the recipes you cook most.
- For recipes you first saved from a website or a video, find the original link and copy it.
- Download Cado and paste each link into its recipe import, the same way you'd save any new recipe.
- Ask Cado to adjust anything that doesn't fit your goals, for example "more protein" or "dairy-free". It rewrites the recipe and shows what changed, with calories and macros per serving.
- Add the week's recipes to your plan and let Cado build the aisle-sorted grocery list. Send it to Instacart or take it to the store.
Questions
How much does ReciMe cost?
ReciMe's help center lists the yearly plan at $39.99 in the US, which works out to about $3.33 a month. ReciMe says the price depends on your plan and your country, and the Subscribe screen in the app shows your exact price in local currency.
Is the ReciMe app free?
Yes. The free version includes grocery lists, meal plans, cookbooks and grocery checkout, with up to 5 recipe imports a week. Unlimited imports, the nutrition calculator, Cooking Mode, the measurement converter, Ask ReciMe and PDF export need ReciMe Plus.
Does ReciMe have a monthly plan?
ReciMe's App Store description says the subscription renews each month or year, so monthly billing appears to exist, but its help center only publishes the yearly US price. The App Store lists ReciMe Plus at $29.99, $39.99 and $59.99 without saying which plan each one is. Check the Subscribe screen in the app before you start the trial.
What happens when the ReciMe free trial ends?
ReciMe charges the price shown on the payment screen unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the 7-day trial ends. Recipes you imported during the trial stay saved if you go back to the free version. Deleting the app doesn't cancel the subscription.
Is ReciMe worth paying for?
It depends on how many recipes you save. If you import more than 5 a week, or you want the nutrition calculator and Cooking Mode, $39.99 a year is a modest price and the app is rated 4.8 from more than 327,000 App Store ratings. If you import only a few recipes a week and don't need those extras, the free version may be enough.
What is a good alternative to ReciMe?
It depends on what you want to change. To pay once instead of subscribing, Paprika Recipe Manager 3 is $4.99 on the iPhone, though its social media importing is still in the Paprika 4 beta. If you want recipes from social media scored for health and adjusted to your goals, with a meal plan and grocery list built from them, Cado does that, free to start.
